Solano County
Baylands, tidal marsh, and working farmland around the Suisun area offer room to slow floodwater and give the shoreline space to adapt as sea levels rise — while keeping agricultural land in production.
Sonoma County (Santa Rosa)
Oak woodlands and greenbelts around Santa Rosa can serve as wildfire buffers between wildlands and neighborhoods, while creek and floodplain restoration helps manage winter storm runoff.
Marin County
Ridgelines, grazing lands, and bayfront marsh support both fire-resilient open space and shoreline adaptation, protecting communities along the Highway 101 corridor and the bay edge.
Alameda County (Oakland)
